Walk On! Bayside and The Bens Take The Pieta Challenge
Beann Eadair CLG and Bayside Community Group are putting their final plans in place for tomorrow’s Darkness into Light walk in aid of Pieta House.
For the Bens, it comes with an extra sense of purpose and poignance as they march in memory of the recently deceased club member, Rory Purcell. Now under the title of “Rory’s Walk”, the Bens have already raised almost 750 Euros and are calling on all members and locals to have an early morning and join them to watch the sun rise on the East Mountain.

In step with the effort also is Bayside Community Association, who are meeting for their Dawn Walk in Bayside Carpark at 4am. With the promise of fine fare and a flaming BBQ for the perfect early morning breakfast, all are welcome for the walk and the “after-breakfast”.
