Historic POC FADA Competition Returns to Beann Eadair

After a 2 year gap Beann Eadair GAA is delighted to once again host the Dublin POC FADA finals in Camogie and Hurling.

The origins of poc fada, go back fadó, fadó when legend has it that Cuchulainn and Setanta mastered the art, which was resurrected as a competition in 1960 when Limerick man Vincent Godrey won the inaugural All-Ireland competition.

And the Bens are making their own bit of history with Captain Christopher Gaisford St Lawrence launching the first sliothar @ 7pm. All club members are invited to attend and to wear their Bens gear, while a general invite has been issued to all locals, to come and enjoy a fantastic spectacle and a great community occasion. Cheer leaders, ball spotters and foragers welcome!!!
