Howth Roots and Blues Festival Hits All The High Notes
Encores All Round As Dom Martin Takes The Plaudits At The Bloody Stream
The Howth Roots & Blues Festival including its 35 free gigs has proven a huge musical and commercial success for the area. With an estimated 8-10k visitors arriving over the 3 days, the star line up lived up to its billing and Howth cruised, crooned and swayed to the beat as one act after another was feted for their performance.
And with over 30 acts there was something for everyone, from the moody blues, to the soul, the edgy, to the raucous, each had their own flavour and following and the audience got in the swing of it from early Friday and were on their feet for all of the weekend.
Of course, the great weather added to the atmosphere, making this year’s Howth Roots and Blues Festival one to remember.
