Margadh Closes Doors Amid Hopes For Its Speedy Return

Magadh has announced it is closing its premises on Harbour Road at the end of this week. The wine and cafe hotspot has been a welcome addition to Howth since it first opened almost three years ago.

In a lengthy social post, Margadh revealed the reason behind the decision lies in the premises itself, which is not suitable to the particular needs of the café/winebar offering.

“We know this news will come as a surprise to our wonderful regular guests. And we are so sorry to share this update today. We are currently looking into a more suitable option to make good use of the space and we’ll share updates as soon as we have a plan.

Margadh will be open 3pm until late Wednesday -Saturday this week.”

Margadh has provided an uplifting alternative to the standard fare on offer on Harbour Road and here’s hoping for a speedy return and the rebirth of this high quality offering, Margadh2.0 – to Howth.

Mamó Howth will be opening a casual terrace menu for walk-ins in two weeks, where we know the fine wine and casual dining experience provided by Margadh will be maintained.

The team will continue to work together: @mamo_howth and @margadh_rha on Ely Place.
