Rhode Island Heroics Sees Howth Man Sailor Of The Month
Local man Pat O’Neill and his Mojo J/80 team were named as Afloat Magazine’s Sailor of The Month following their heroics in the US. Well known for their success in major events across Europe, their exploits on the high seas of Newport, Rhode Island in the J/80 Worlds raised the bar yet again.
While some early success in the very international fleet was regarded as a flash in the pan, they got better as the event went on and despite stiff competition and difficult conditions, they achieved a podium finish, taking third place, just behind the leading American and Swedish crews. Congrats to one and all, on board!
