Suttonians’ Mid-Table For Christmas Break

Suttonians mid-season report card has consistency written all over it – with the Men’s and Womens’ 1st XV taking a mid-table position despite a slow start to the season, for both! The Women’s 1st XV produced their best performance of the season with a fantastic 45-12 win at home against Wicklow. Some tremendous character was shown by the team after a slow start against a gritty Wicklow side. A fantastic performance from Leomie Kloppers with a hat-trick of tries, and a special mention to Nicola Bolger for her first try in the AIL.
This win takes the girls up to 5th mid-table with one game left before Christmas. A brilliant performance!
Meanwhile Suttonian Men’s 1st XV came up short in a physical encounter away to Tullow in their last game before the Christmas break. They finish the calendar year in 5th place, taking a mid-table position in the league
The Men’s 2nd XV lost narrowly in a thriller against Tullow. They end the year in 4th position, in a very competitive seconds league and well placed for the business end of proceedings.
