Time &Tide Takes Its Toll On Howth Dart Station
The canopy at Howth Station, originally built in 1898, is being removed this weekend. The cast iron pillars have deteriorated over time and a temporary shelter has been installed on the platform. It is intended that this is a temporary arrangement and that the pillars and other elements of the original structure will be repaired and restored, with the canopy being reinstalled by the end of 2023.
