Baldoyle’s Crazy Daisy Flowers Closes The Bouquet After 26 Years
In a surprise announcement Crazy Daisy Flowers, located beside Flintstones and Lidl, disclosed it will be shutting shop for the final time tomorrow Saturday, the 10th of December. The announcement cites rent as well as other rising costs which have been factors in its decision.
The closing of a local business is always disappointing. It reduces the choice for local customers who may now have to travel further, as well as eroding the social fabric that is so important to local living.
In some ways, the closure of Crazy Daisy, a successful business that has served the Baldoyle area so well over its 26 years, is a reminder of the many challenges that now face local businesses and this closure should be a clarion call to locals, to shop local this Christmas, so we keep the local traders that we depend on, trading.
