Hollywood Comes To Howth – Iarla Ó Lionáird Takes The Stage
From his haunting rendition of Casadh An Tsúgáin in the film Brooklyn, when his mournful lament set the tone for a famous scene, to Gangs of New York and Hotel Rwanda, Iarla Ó Lionáird’s voice and presence has graced the silver screen. He has played to audiences in New York’s Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera House and The Kennedy Center and this Saturday, he is set to perform in a candlelit concert at the gates of Howth Castle.
Described by the Guardian “One of the most dramatic voices in contemporary music”, this event is set to be the signature event of a very special weekend in Howth – at the Feile Binn Eadair, May 19 – May 21.
