Not So Fast Shoreline! As Local Residents Seek Judicial Review

Plans for Coast Baldoyle Under Challenge by Local Residents Group

Established 50 years ago in Baldoyle, Abbey Park and District Residents Association (ADRA) has brought a Judicial Review in the High Court against An Bord Pleanala to overturn the grant of planning for Shoreline 1 and 2 SHD developments which do not conform with the Baldoyle Stapolin Local Area Plan (LAP). ADRA goes on to say  “it is not against new residential homes” and “we welcome an expanded community but must be sustainable”.

This challenge is the latest is a series of community initiatives that look to bring the spotlight on a range of proposed developments throughout the Baldoyle, Sutton and Howth areas. The ADRA cites that Shoreline’s plans seek to establish over 2000 (primarily) residential and retail unit that would accommodate up to 6,500 new residents in what is known locally as The Coast, Baldoyle. This comes on top of plans for over 1,000 units in Howth. More information on the ADRA challenge and to get involved click here.
